We are asking asylum for political reasons – Why don’t we get any answer?
When we were in Eritrea we were physically in prison. Until we get our
political rights in germany, even here we are mentally in prison. That
means we don’t get any chance to learn or study. Most of us are staying
24 hours at home, only eating, drinking and sleeping.
In Eritrea, we have no economical problems, we have political problems.
We need our acceptance fast because we want to go to school and get
work. For all this, we have no permission because we have no decision
from the Bundesamt. So our main demand is to respond to and accept our
application for asylum fast.
We are against the new asylum law, because we are against the Dublin
System, which forces us to give our finger prints in the first European
country we arrive in. The new law makes it easier to deport us there,
because we will get no information about the planed deportation any
more. And also they don’t want to give the people, who they want to
deport, the money they need to live.
We are Eritrean. We are not immigrants whose identity is not known. We
are not illegal migrants, we are legal asylum seekers. The rules in the
whole of germany are all the same, you have to get your answer from the
Bundesamt after 6 months, why it is not happening in Thüringen? We want
a faster answer.
On our way to find a safe place for us, we are coming through the
dessert and we are passing several dangerous places, which is life
threatening for us. Many of our brothers and sisters, young mothers and
children are dying there in the past and now. And many of them are
headed in Lybia by Isis. Furthermore many of our people are dying in
Mediterranean Sea. All these things are a result of searching a safe
place for us to escape from the dictatorship in our country. Why the
world looks at us easily and why nobody is caring and doing anything
about us?
